Podiatry

Our experienced Podiatrists are passionate about keeping you active and free from foot, ankle and leg pain.

Podiatrists have specialist training in the area of the lower limb. A Bachelor of Health Science (Podiatry) is required to practice as a Podiatrist, along with registration with the national health governing body AHPRA. They assess, diagnose and treat leg, ankle and foot conditions using a variety of skills and techniques.

Podiatrists are able to assess and treat a wide variety of conditions and complaints including:

  • Sports injuries and musculoskeletal complaints
  • Running and gait assessments
  • Post-surgical foot assessments and rehabilitation plans
  • Children’s foot and shoe assessments
  • Orthotics and shoe inserts: using traditional plaster casting and the latest 3D laser scanning technology
  • Diabetes assessments and foot care
  • Shoe assessment and prescription of modifications like heel lifts, rocker soles and upper modifications
  • Custom made and off-the-shelf toe splints and props
  • Skin and nail care, including ingrown toenails, fungal nail and skin conditions, painful corns and callus
  • Vascular assessment
  • Wound assessment
  • All types of foot pain including heel, arch and forefoot pain, plantar fasciitis and toe deformities

Our Podiatrists will work closely with your other health practitioners, like your Physiotherapist, Exercise Physiologist or local GP to get the best results for you. Referrals are not required to see a Podiatrist however Medicare, DVA, WorkCover and NDIS referrals are welcome. Podiatry is covered by most Private Health Funds.

Please bring your work, exercise and casual shoes to your Podiatry appointment. Your shoes tell us a great deal about your feet and help to create a suitable plan to address your concerns.
