Pilates Foundation
This class is an introduction to correct Clinical Pilates technique, posture, alignment, isolation, breathing. This class will improve your flexibility, co-ordination, fluidity, endurance, precision and stamina. Perfect for people suffering from acute pain and who have never tried Pilates before. Mainly floor work/mat work, but the instructor may incorporate Pilates equipment including the reformer, Cadillac, chi ball, theraband and magic circle.
Pregnant ladies are welcome to attend this class, but please notify the instructor prior to the class commencing. If you are pregnant, we also highly recommend a free assessment with one of our Women’s Health Physiotherapists prior to attending your first class.
Reformer Foundations
The foundations class is a must if you have never tried reformer before. It will teach you how to use the equipment confidently and safely.
The Reformer is a key component of the Clinical Pilates system and consists of a series of springs, straps and pulleys on a frame with a gliding platform. All of which can be adjusted to suit any fitness level or injury. Reformer classes are designed to create muscle tone, develop strength, endurance, improve flexibility and most importantly – provide a fun exercise option.
